The Sega Dreamcast was Sega’s final entry into the home console market and is now regarded as one of the greatest cult classic consoles of all time. With a compact, minimalist design and an innovative library of games, the Dreamcast helped lay the foundations for modern gaming with features like online play and VMU memory cards.

Media & Compatibility

The Dreamcast plays standard PAL Dreamcast game discs and audio CDs. Game saves require a Visual Memory Unit (VMU), sold separately. The VMU not only saves games but can also display in-game information and support mini-games on its own screen.

Size & Dimensions

The Dreamcast measures approximately 19 cm x 19 cm x 7.6 cm (190 mm x 190 mm x 76 mm) and weighs around 1.5 kg—perfect for fitting neatly into any retro gaming setup.

Controllers

The Dreamcast supports up to 4 controllers for local multiplayer, with a single controller ported by default. This console comes with 1x Official Sega Controller. VMU memory units and additional controllers are available separately.

TV Connection

The Dreamcast connects to your TV via an RFU cable, allowing you to tune into Channel 36 for display. This was the standard connection method for many older TVs in the UK. If your TV lacks an RF input, alternative connection options (such as AV or HDMI converters) may be required.
